The Kurl Salon is a curl & colour specialist salon based in Reading, Berkshire.
Since 2019 we have been helping clients discover & embrace their natural texture. We cater to all hair types, whether your hair is straight or afro texture, we can help!
Owner Georgia has 10+ years in the hairdressing industry, along with being trained in the Curl by Curl cutting method and being a Wella Master Colour Expert.
Kurl Cut Prep
Ahead of your Kurl cut appointment with us, it's important to follow these steps to ensure you get the best results from your time with us! Please follow these instructions for every cut & colour service appointment, failure to do so may result in refusal of service or rescheduling your appointment.
1. Wash your hair with shampoo or cowash twice to remove all dirt and build up.

2. Condition your hair and detangle, make sure all tangles are removed. Completely rinse out for finer/wavier hair types. Leave all or some conditioner in for tighter, drier hair.

3. Apply leave in conditioner or a lightweight curl cream. NO heavy butters, creams or oils. NO GELS.
​
4. Allow hair to airdry or diffuse, avoid tying hair up as this disrupts the curl pattern.
​
5. Make sure hair is 100% dry for your appointment.
Our Policy
All bookings require a 50% deposit upfront, with the remaining balance being paid at the appointment. The deposit must be paid within 48 hours of making a booking over the phone to secure your booking, if we do not receive your deposit the appointment will be cancelled.

We require at least 48 hours notice for any reschedules or cancellations, if you cancel with less than 48 hours notice you will lose your deposit and be required to pay another for a new appointment. If you are running late, please contact us as soon as possible, if you running over 10 minutes late we may have to adjust your service or reschedule your appointment.

All new colour clients MUST have a patch test done at least 48 hours before their booking. If you fail to have a skin test in this time frame, your colour appointment will not go ahead. We also do not provide colour services for under 16s.
